Since I created Woven Decor, then I figured I’d better tell you about me. I don’t have an impressive list of credentials to my name but I’m a pretty great gal and I want you to know who I am.
Who I am starts with who I am in Christ. I was bought with the precious blood of Jesus. That’s a high price to have been paid on my behalf so I don’t take that purchase lightly. Therefore, my heart first and foremost belongs to my Savior and Friend, Jesus.
At the “mature” age of barely 18, I married the only man I ever said, “I love you” to; a cattle rancher / business man / minister / and world’s greatest husband and father. I’m a mom of three wonderful grown sons who mean more to me than anything in the world, a mother-in-law, a sister to three awesome brothers. I was raised a pastor’s kid and love my parents immensely. I’m a loyal friend, love to sing and play the piano. I draw, paint, design, shop, read, have two granddogs and love to chat over a great cup of coffee. Beautiful pictures totally capture me emotionally and I can stare at the clouds forever. I have two Mastiffs and a Great Dane, can be totally unreasonable and emotional, put smiley faces on my texts and emails, watch chick flicks, shoot guns (I’m a darn good shot), love Jesus with my whole heart, lead worship at my church, don’t mind growing older, just hate looking that way (vanity vanity), am highly opinionated and a sucker for shoes; lots and lots of shoes. The list goes on……
Because by definition a blogger is one who writes about their own experiences, observations, opinions, etc. I look forward to sharing bits of my life on Woven Decor through lots of pictures, decorating ideas, random thoughts, encouraging words, a few rants and raves (d0ne in love…) and whatever else I think is interesting and should be plopped into this blog about my life, family and home. Woven throughout you will see me – my personality and what makes me tick. I love life, decorating, family, the whole package. I wanted to create a little place where those with a similar loves and passion can be encouraged and motivated to get out of the “box” which tries to hold us captive to the creativity wanting to explode.
Enjoy Woven Decor.
P.S. Most of this information was taken from my first blog post.
P.S.S. The picture below is one of my favorite pictures.

From one sister in Christ to another, love your site, love Psalm 16:8-9, particularly now as I’m going through tough times with His help and strength. Thanks for sharing who you are, especially in Him. I’ll be following. Catherine
Catherine, thanks for the kind words. Love how God connects his children even via WordPress
. I’ll pray for you. Becky

Thanks, you are really sweet to say so. Now if I would just find the time to post more than once or twice a month….
Love that photo of you and your dog – beautiful!
She was a good old girl. We jokingly called her our sentinel because she was always standing (sitting) watch over us. We only had her a few years (came to us as an older rescue girl) and we miss her silly ways.
Your blog are great contribution for entire blogosphere my friend keep it up
Thank you and very kind of you to say so.
Thanks so much for the lovely comment on my blog, Becky!. I had checked out and liked several of your posts before but this was the 1st time I clicked on your “about” page. Wow! What a beautiful about page giving glory to God! One of the best about pages I’ve ever read! May God continue to bless you abundantly!
Thanks. Where would we be without Him, right?
I love your customized theme, Becky, and was wondering what font you are using at this time. I love it! Thanks and abundant blessings.
Museo Sans is the header text and Puritan is the main body text. The layout theme is Magazine and has a nice flexibility. Thanks
Thank, Becky! I’m tempted to change themes but I best put myself in time out for a bit since I just changed themes recently. *sigh*
I love the Puritan text though and did change over…nice!
Thanks again!

I think in another life I may have been some kind of interior designer/artist. I love all of that now, but somehow or another ended up a nurse! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
I always wanted to pursue being a midwife – maybe in that other life
Thanks back at you.
